The public prosecutor in the ‘Astapa’ case, involving alleged town planning corruption in Estepona between 2003 and 2008, has supported calls by suspects for former police commissioner José Manuel Villarejo to be investigated for his alleged involvement in two police reports in the case that have had their veracity questioned. The move comes in relation to testimony in a corruption case against Sr Villarejo in Madrid.
