Appeal Rejected

The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal from a British national and ruled that only Spanish nationals can vote in general elections. The Briton, who has lived in Spain for more than 30 years, argued his exclusion was contrary to the European Convention on Human Rights. However, the Court decided that the right to vote is defined by article 13.2 of the Spanish Constitution.
