The first eight months of the year saw 1.5 million more passengers pass through Málaga airport than in the same period in 2015. Following the best June and July in its history, the airport also had a record August serving almost two million travellers, 12.4% up on last year. Monday’s data from Aena also show that over 14,000 aircraft movements were recorded during August.
