Failed property developer Aifos has been ordered to pay back a €52,000 down payment, plus interest, to a Fuengirola couple who bought an apartment in the Cortijo de Torreblanca development, after Málaga’s provincial court last week confirmed an earlier supreme court ruling. The couple paid the advance in 2003 and 2004, but the property was never finished despite being at an advanced stage of completion, before Aifos declared bankruptcy in 2009 and was liquidated in 2014.
