City aims to abolish the requirement of a permit for minor works

PAYING for a licence to undertake some home improvements may soon be a thing of the past in the city of Málaga.

The town planning department has opened a period of public consultation on its plans to abolish the need to ask permission for relatively minor refurbishments. These could include replacing a kitchen or bathroom in a private home, or, in the case of residents’ communities, installing an elevator in a block of apartments.
