THE Diputación de Málaga’s cabinet has approved projects valued at 11 million euros in nearly 60 towns throughout the province, the final batch of works under several of its 2015 funding schemes for municipal projects, said provincial government officials last week.

The town halls can now move forward with putting the works out to tender.

Some of the larger-scale projects highlighted by officials include remodel of Plaza Reyes Católicos in Pizarra and Plaza Doña Amparo Guerrero in Frigiliana; improvements to the water supply network in the rural Moheda-Los Portales zone of Casabermeja; road upgrades in the Serramar, Cotomar and Don Miguel zones of La Cala del Moral in Rincón de la Victoria; road paving schemes in Antequera and Estepona; the creation of a pedestrian bridge over the A-7 in Manilva; and the construction of an industrial warehouse in Villanueva del Trabuco.
