Cinema excluded from ticket tax cut

Spain’s cinema owners have reacted angrily to the news that they are to be excluded from the government’s plans to reduce the level of value added tax applied to arts performances. The sector suffered badly after IVA (value added tax) on audience tickets was increased from 8% to 21% in 2012.
