EL CORTE Inglés is taking on Amazon head-to-head with the launch of a two-hour delivery service in six of the country’s biggest cities.
Online customers in Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Málaga, Sevilla and Valencia can opt to use the new facility, with the express service expected to expand to other towns and cities in time. It is the first such initiative by a major Spanish retailer.
The US-based retailer Amazon is rapidly expanding in Europe and already offers same-day delivery in Madrid and even one-hour delivery in some UK cities.
