A public contract to clear rubbish from and maintain the floating barriers in the River Segura for two years has been put out to tender for over €340,000.
The work includes general maintenance and removal of floating material, canes and other waste which appears in the old course of the river near its mouth, and in the network of floating barriers in the irrigation channels which drain into it.
