Torrevieja town hall has given the green light to proceed with the project to construct two 82-metre-high tower blocks next to the marina.
Opposition parties at the local authority have claimed the development will destroy the Doña Sinforosa park, which stands at the top of the Acequión beach – as well as ruining the seafront view.
