MAYHEM reigned at Manchester Airport on Sunday as a ‘fuelling issue’ triggered the cancellation of 87 flights and stacked up severe delays to other services.
The shutdown of a major airport has a huge impact – and scrapping 45 departures and 42 arrivals meant the airport simply stalled with passengers milling around departures or sitting on aircraft for hours.
