A total of €1.9 million is due to be invested every year in the new parks and garden maintenance contract for Orihuela Costa, Ciudadanos (C’s) local councillor for infrastructures Juan Ignacio López-Bas revealed to Costa Blanca News on Wednesday.
He admitted the state of many parks in the area was shameful and that the regional ombudsman (Síndic de Greuges) had warned the council that it has a duty to maintain them.
