Private tasting – The reds

The cava and white wine enjoyed at a recent private tasting (ever thought of this for your club/association/group? Always great fun!) can be seen here: www.colinharknessonwine.com click Articles). Now it’s the turn of the reds.
Spain has built its wine reputation on its reds – and rightly so. These days that solid and enviable foundation, firstly in the name of Rioja, then Ribera del Duero, Priorat and so on, has been impressively built upon over the last 20 years. There is a huge variety of red wines, made in many different areas, which not only happily rub shoulders with the greats of the founding brethren above, but also with some of the best wines in the world.

*Please Note: I have arranged a super two-day trip to Jumilla, to visit two excellent bodegas for tours, tastings and lunch, with an overnight stay and dinner at the luxury Hotel Casa Boquera, which sits in its own vineyards! This Gourmet/Wine short break is 25th – 26th April and I now only have 10 places available! To reserve and for more details please call me asap on 629 388 159; or e-mail colin@colinharknessonwine.com
