Symbols removed

    Council workmen in Nerja have started removing Francoist symbols in the town. Already, over 20 ceramic street names have been taken down in the Los Protegidas district where apartment blocks date from the early 60s. The removal of such signs was made obligatory under Spain’s 2007 Law of Historical Memory.
