MÁLAGA’S provincial council, the Diputación, has this week intervened to try and stop the small village of Júzcar, in the Valle del Genal, losing its title as home to the Smurfs.
Papa Smurf and the tribe were expected to leave next week, with an August 2 post on the town hall’s website announcing Júzcar had lost authorisation to present itself as the Smurf’s village.
