Three men who stole a water fountain valued at €1,800 and sold it for €20 in a scrapyard have been arrested in Alcoy – but not before flooding the street.
Police received a tip-off from a number of eye witnesses that an ornamental fountain in a street was being dismantled, and those carrying out the ‘work’ did not look like official maintenance engineers.
