A 23-YEAR-old motorcyclist has been found dead in Jaén after being swept away by flood water while a Guardia Civil officer has died in Sevilla while helping a driver trapped in his car.

The discovery of the biker’s body on Sunday came as the country was being battered by more severe winter weather. It was found 15 kilometres away from where he disappeared from a party of five bikers on Saturday.

In Sevilla, the search continued for three days for a 52-year-old Guardia Civil officer from Málaga who was missing after falling into the water on Saturday night while helping in the rescue of a driver trapped by flood water in a car near the town of Guillena. His body was found on Tuesday, 300 metres from where he disappeared.
