Drivers ignore new DGT recommendations causing 24 kilometres of tailbacks across the province on Sunday

MÁLAGA province remains in a traffic-jam chokehold, with queues of vehicles stretching a total of 24 kilometres on roads between Vélez-Málaga and Estepona during peak times on Sunday evening.

With people soaking up the last of the weekend’s sun and making the most of the province’s cultural activities, the main problem area was on the A-7 motorway between Vélez-Málaga and Rincon de la Victoria, where drivers heading in the direction of Málaga faced 13 kilometres of queues starting from around 8pm, with the popular Torre del Mar air show partly to blame.
