A 53-YEAR-old British resident of Alhaurín de la Torre has received an award from the Andalucían Mountaineering Federation in recognition of his achievement in completing a gruelling 333-kilometre ultra-marathon race in the Himalayas this summer.
Mark Woolley completed the race – most of it at elevations above 5,000 metres – in 69 hours, well under the 72-hour time limit.
