THE Junta de Andalucía has announced that a total of €20 million is to be spent on 10 road improvement projects in inland areas of Málaga province.
The major investment was announced by the Junta’s public works chief Felipe López, and followed weeks of growing pressure from activists over the state of inland roads, including a protest at the regional government headquarters in Málaga last month.
Of the total spend, more than €12.5 million is to be invested in roads in the Serranía de Ronda, covering a number of long-awaited projects such as the completion of the Arriate bypass road.
