THE number of home sales in Málaga province last year surpassed 30,000 for the first time since 2007, the year before the real estate bubble burst.
Preliminary year-end figures released last week by the National Statistics Institute (INE) show that in 2017 a total of 30,064 homes were sold in Málaga province, up 12.8% compared to 2016. Andalucía-wide, a total of 89,337 homes were sold, an increase of 12.6% over 2016, while nationwide sales were up 14.6% to 464,423.
