SEVEN people have been arrested in the break-up of a gang accused of dozens of home robberies in towns along the western Costa del Sol.
Following a year-long investigation, the joint operation by the National Police and Guardia Civil saw raids on 11 properties in Mijas, Fuengirola, Sabinillas, Algeciras and the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in northern Africa, said officials last Monday. The gang, described as a “perfectly structured” criminal organisation, is accused of committing over 40 robberies in the towns of Estepona, Marbella, Mijas and Fuengirola.
