ALTEA, one of the most emblematic towns on the Costa Blanca, celebrated its 400th anniversary on Wednesday.
On January 11, 1617, Don Jaume de Palfox, Marquis of Ariza, granted the ‘Carta Pobla’ (town chart) to a group of 70 families that were living on the hilltop and inside a castle’s walls.
