AGRICULTURAL exports from Andalucía to the UK have increased since the British referendum on membership of the European Union. Despite Brexit, in the 12 months to May this year, Britain imported food and drink from Spain totalling €971 million, a rise of 15.6 per cent on the same period in 2015-16.
The figures were announced last week in Sevilla by the region’s Department of Agriculture, Fishing and Rural Development which said the biggest export was raspberries which accounted for €126 million of the total.
