THE streets of Estepona’s historic quarter will be teeming with activity this weekend as the town celebrates the fifth edition of its ‘Estepona vive sus calles’ event. From Friday (March 31) to Sunday the event will see some 20 activities, concerts and performances in local streets and plazas.

Cornerstone activities will include a tapas crawl throughout the weekend with 21 establishments offering a tapa and drink for €2; the seventh edition of the town’s National Cured Ham Carving Championship, which will take place on Sunday from noon to 4pm in Calle Terraza; and the fifth annual Carrera Urbana fun run starting at 10am Sunday in Calle Huerta Nueva, which this year will include a five-kilometre option in addition to the usual 10-kilometre route.
