Consumers irked by further Telefónica hikes

Company has added TV football games and upped price on Fusion+ package

The price for Movistar Fusion+ has increased by between €2 and €5 per month, depending on the exact package

The consumer group FACUA – Consumers in Action says it will open further legal action against Telefónica following the announcement that the telecom company’s Movistar Fusion+ package is to rise in price.

The increase came into effect on Sunday June 3 for new customers taking the full package of fixed line, mobile, internet and TV, and will be applied to existing customers on August 5. Telefónica has justified the increase by the inclusion of additional football matches in its television schedules.
