Caminito celebrates two years of high stepping

The Caminito del Rey is pegged high on the walls of the Gaitanes gorge at El Choro

SINCE its reopening to the public on March 28, 2015, 600,000 people have accepted the invitation to walk the Caminto del Rey, the footpath which clings to cliffs high above a gorge at El Chorro, between Ardales, Álora and Antequera.

Figures released to mark the attraction’s second anniversary show that 69% of visitors have been from outside Spain, with British nationals accounting for almost a fifth of them.
