A Russian national resident in the US is demanding compensation of €10 million after being wrongly jailed in Spain for two years. He was listed as being suspected of murder in Valencia in 1997, and was extradited from the US in 2008. Only in 2012, after prison plus two years of conditional release, did a court find there was absolutely no evidence against him.
