Two bodies found in a Girona reservoir last week have been confirmed as those of a young couple reported missing in Barcelona. Police say the 21-year-old woman had been shot while her 23-year-old male companion had been violently attacked, and both bodies had been weighed down with backpacks full of stones. The couple were on holiday when they vanished and their car was found nearby.
