The neighbourhood association in La Cala de Mijas has called on authorities to take action over the area’s “traffic chaos”. It says that traffic from the Butibamba service road by the BP station is currently routed directly through the town centre, “as if the Bulevar [main road through town] were a national highway”. The group cites safety concerns as well as an impact on the area’s tourism appeal.
