Marbella police last week arrested three people accused of snatching cash from former secretary of state for sport Rafael Cortés Elvira while he was dining at a local restaurant. The thieves allegedly grabbed the cash from his jacket, which was hung on the back of a chair, but were chased down by officers. Sr Cortés Elvira was Spain’s secretary of state for sport from 1993 to 1996.
