All Spain’s mainstream political parties, with the exception of Podemos, are behind the centrist candidate Emmanuel Macron to be French president in order to save the EU. Both the PP and PSOE are supporting him, despite the fact that their French counterparts were eliminated in France’s first vote on Sunday. Podemos suggested French voters should abstain or “cover their noses” and vote for Macron.
