Construction work on the first phase of a major renovation of Fuengirola’s Avenida Alcalde Clemente Díaz, between Paseo Jesús Santos Rein and Calle Blanca Paloma, is to be completed this week. Work on the two-million euro project began in January, with the improvements including the introduction of a pedestrian boulevard running down the centre of the road. The street is expected to be inaugurated and opened to traffic on April 1.
