Coín town hall last week launched work on a €70,000 repair to landslip damage on the Coín-Monda road, caused during heavy rains last winter. The damage, on a stretch near the La Cruz de Piedra restaurant, forced the closure of one lane, with a traffic light allowing vehicles to pass in one direction at a time. Mayor Fernando Fernández said the repair work will be completed “in a few weeks”.
