A safety campaign is underway this week on Spain’s secondary roads where over 80% of fatal accidents occur. Tráfico says that around two out of three victims who lost their lives in such incidents were not wearing a seat belt. The clampdown is targeting speeding, mobile phone use, child safety restraints and drink or drug abuse, as well as checking documents.
