Residents in outlying areas of Álora, along the road between the town and El Chorro, where the popular Caminito de Rey cliff-side walkway is located, have raised complaints about the poor state of the road. They say its deteriorated condition poses a danger, especially after the opening of the Caminto last year “quintupled” traffic on the road. The Junta de Andalucía says it is studying the situation.
