Alhaurín el Grande mayor Toñi Ledesma last week announced a new revitalisation plan for the historic quarter. It includes partially-pedestrianising certain areas and lowering speed limits, promoting the conversion of empty homes to tourist accommodations, and purchasing the plot of the old Cine María Cristina for the creation of a culinary market, homes and parking. Details of the plan will be presented in around a month.
