Four National Police officers have been praised for rescuing a 76-year-old man trapped by fire in his second-floor apartment last Thursday. Doctors said if they had been two minutes later attending the incident in Málaga’s Gamarra district, the resident would almost certainly have died. The officers broke down the door to get into the smoke-filled flat to tackle the blaze in a fuse box.
