Some of Ronda’s tour guides have been helping the town’s local police in their efforts to combat pick-pockets and thieves that target tourists, by informing the force via WhatsApp if criminals are operating in the area, and sending photos to make identification easier. As part of an increased effort to take on the criminals launched earlier this year by the local police, there have also been increased patrols in popular areas including the Puente Nuevo and the Plaza de Toros.
