Former Marbella mayor Julián Muñoz’s ex-wife Maite Zaldívar, who was convicted along with Sr Muñoz and his former girlfriend Isabel Pantoja for money laundering, has been granted ‘third-grade’ prisoner status, allowing her to complete the rest of her sentence on a partial-release programme. She has completed one year and nine months of her two-and-a-half-year prison sentence.
