A van driver pulled over by Guardia Civil officers at kilometre point 222 on the A7 motorway near Benalmádena last week was arrested on a suspected crime against road safety charges, after being found with a blood alcohol level of 0.99mg/l, more than six times over the legal limit of 0.15mg/l for heavy goods vehicle drivers. The 50 year-old Spaniard was pulled over after driving erratically and on the hard shoulder.
