The Guardia Civil officer who died in Sevilla while trying to rescue a motorist (CDSN last week) will be recognised by his home city of Málaga. Mayor Francisco de la Torre told the town council that Diego Diaz’s family will receive an honour in his name in the near future. The officer was awarded the Guardia Civil’s Order of Merit following his funeral last Thursday.
