Marbella town hall announced last week that it has cancelled this year’s edition of the Luxury Weekend event. It said the event has cost the municipal archives an average of €30,000 per year over the last five years, and has not attracted sufficient sponsorship. Local officials say the event may return in the future, and some in the business community have expressed support for launching a revamped version.
