Benalmádena’s local council announced last week that all of the town’s 65 bus-stops are to have their shelters replaced with new, more modern versions. Installation is to begin in three months, and the total cost of the project, an estimated €390,000, will be covered through advertising income from the upgraded stops. A town hall source confirmed that the new shelters can be adapted in the future to offer a Wi-Fi connection.
