The Guardia Civil has opened an enquiry into the facts surrounding the funeral of a Francoist leader in Nerja last month during which the anthem of the Spanish Falange party was sung by some attendees. This is understood to be in violation of article 32 of the Law of Democratic Memory, which bans “praise of the Franco regime.”
