Work has started on a €375,000 upgrade to the port and marina at Caleta de Vélez. The removal of a wall will provide improved integration of the area with the town, while a pedestrian path and cycle lane will give better access. The 83 working boats based at Caleta form one of the most important fishing fleets in Andalucía.
