Spain has one of the lowest rates of reported domestic violence in the EU. A new report from Eurostat says the country registered 2.65 complaints per 100,000 population in 2015, compared with the highest rate, 56.88, recorded in Sweden. In September, Madrid approved a set of 213 measures towards creating a national pact against gender violence, defined through rape, forced marriage, sexual harassment and other persecutions.
