The La Cónsula cookery school in Churriana was closed down for 48 hours as a precautionary measure after routine analyses last Wednesday detected legionella bacteria – which can cause legionnaires’ disease – in a water tap. The Junta de Andalucía’s Employment Department, which is in charge of the school, ordered the temporary closure as cleaning and treatment of the centre’s entire water network was carried out.
