A doctor at Ronda’s Hospital de la Serranía spent 48 hours on a hunger strike outside the town hall building in Plaza Duquesa de Parcent last week, in protest against Sunday’s Catalan independence referendum. During his strike, José Frías wore a t-shirt with both the Spanish and Catalan flags and a carried a poster proclaiming that “there are more things that unite us, than separate us”.
