Spain’s Customs Agency last week seized what government officials called the agency’s biggest ever haul of contraband tobacco. The 3.2 million packs of cigarettes discovered on a container barge in the Bay of Cádiz last Wednesday have a nearly €12 million market value. The investigation began in June when three boats were spotted loading material onto the barge off the coast of Tunisia. Six people have been arrested.
